Hello and a warm welcome to MKB Indie Radio. I’m Mary K Burke — a singer, songwriter, and the creator of this station, which has now been running for almost seven years.
What began as a small media platform for my own weekly radio show soon grew into something much bigger. After broadcasting for 16 years — including a decade at a popular FM station in Glasgow — I stepped away just before Covid‑19 changed all our lives. Music has always been my passion, and it connects people in ways nothing else can. That connection brought 28 presenters to my platform, many of them long‑time friends from the music and radio world.
