It’s been over 3 years since the completion of Kinnaber Junction’s Brave Tigers project and now he’s back with another album entitled Up the Junction.

Up the Junction is a collection of songs written over a period of more than 35 years which for one reason or another were never recorded or only existed on a chewed-up cassette tape.

 “These are some of the most personal songs that I’ve written, covering life events such as engagement, marriage and births.  When I put these together with a couple of brand-new songs I quickly noticed they roughly followed the plot of Squeeze’s song Up the junction” (Gary Anderson – Kinnaber Junction).

Kinnaber Junction is the musical vehicle of Montrose songwriter Gary Anderson who has been gigging and songwriting for over 40 years.  In this time, he has covered a wide range of genres, and he draws on all of these in his writing and recording.  As with Brave Tigers, Gary performed and self-produced Up the junction.

The release of the album coincides with a solo appearance at Edinburgh’s Wee Folk Club on Sunday 05 April 26 and he’s also got a full band headline gig at The Montrose Playhouse for Montrose Folk Club on 23 June 26.

Up the Junction will be available to download and in CD format from www.kinnaberjunction.bandcamp.com on 10 Apr 26 as well as all major streaming sites.
